Week 6 Newsletters
Starting our sixth week of the robotics season, the design team has finished the climb and have finished the process for the second renditions of the shooter. They have also begun development of upgraded designs for new components and parts of the robot. The strategy team is still evaluating trends from the week zero competition, constantly improving our current robotics plan for competitive purposes in the future. The build team is finishing up the chassis and have also made

Week 5 Newsletter
Kicking off our fifth week for our 2020 robotics team, the design team has made significant progress in the completion of the robot. The team is in the process of finishing up work on the climb and have gone through second renditions of the shooter, as well as set out assembly drawings. The strategy team has reviewed the week zero competition and gone over the process to evaluate for future purposes. The build team officially completed constructing the intake and have made pr

Week 4 Newsletter
To begin the fourth week of the 2020 robotics season, our design team has continued to work on the design for the robot, and then progressed to sending out the drawings to the build team, which they used to build the frame for the chassis, which has also been powder coated. The cnc router is now running, and various parts for the robot are being cut. The strategy team has been looking into the project.- Robot in 3 Days (Ri3D). Keeping things going, the programming team is alm

Week 3 Newsletter
To start off week three of the 2020 robotics season, our build and design teams have been working on prototyping the intake, making the game pieces out of wood, working on using the CNC router, as well as making a new cart for our robot. With that, our programming team has been working on the sub systems so they can run on a loop so the robot can actually move autonomously by working on the framework for those codes, while the electrical team planned out the electrical board

Week 2 Newsletter
Last week was midterms week at the International Academy of Macomb, therefore, there were no meetings scheduled. On our team, academics are always the first priority. Our students from other schools however, stayed dedicated and continued to work during this time. #first #frc #buildseason

Week 1 Newsletter
During the week after the official FIRST Robotics 2020 Season kicked off, all of our students couldn’t wait to prototype designs for various robot ideas that were discussed during intense student and mentor collaboration during the previous week’s team Kickoff event at the Macomb Intermediate School District. Students brainstormed a hopper, shooter, and climbing mechanisms. In addition to prototyping, our strategy team worked with our design and programming team and began eva
