Kickoff: REBUILT
To start the 2026 kickoff season, our team invited sponsors, FRC Team 6099 Knight Riders, and our FTC team 31767 Robo Warriors to watch Kickoff with us. REBUILT, by Haas, includes many aspects from past competitions, including a trench, hub, and climb part each all on the field! Together, our teams began to put our heads together and brainstorm robot ideas, as well as reviewing the rules together. We came up with many ideas for the climb aspect, as well as a shooting aspect for our robot, so that we can get the fuel into the hub. Shooter games are our favorite! We are ready to begin our season with our sponsors and our FTC team 31767 Robo Warriors! Current Robot Progress
Recently, our team has been hard at work to get our robot built. Our build, design, and electrical team are all working together to build our robot. Collaborative work not only helps us get our robots on the field and running, but it gives everyone a chance to learn and get experience. Currently in build, we are repurposing our 2022 and 2023 robots to create practice robots for newer students. To get hands on practice, our electrical team is currently wiring parts to put on our practice robot chassis, and program team getting practice with programming the practice robots after being wired; each team is being trained on what to put on the competition bot. Design, where our parts are designed to be cut and used on the robot, is currently designing our competition robot, and the programming team is working hard to get the robot together after it is built. Our team’s robot is coming along nice and smoothly! Award Nominations Each year, we nominate mentors and students because of their liveliness, ingenuity, and perseverance on our team. These people are always setting a perfect example and show great integrity as role-models for their peers and students. Each year, we nominate one mentor for the Woodie Flowers Award, an award for outstanding mentors. Then we nominate two students for the Dean’s List Award, an award for being a leader and role-model.
Woodie Flowers Award Nominee
This year, the students nominated our electrical mentor, Dan Martin, to compete for the Woodie Flowers Award. Students appreciate his dedication to the team, his funny and positive attitude, and how he always listens to students. Mr. Martin always brings a bubbly, and silly personality to robotics every day, and this is such a refreshing aspect because of how serious robotics can be for the kids sometimes.
Dean’s List Award Nominees
The mentors also nominated two of our students, Logan and Kyle, for the Dean’s List Award. They are both captains and have put a lot of time and work into our team. Despite the hardships and demands of school and all of their other activities, Kyle and Logan still make their biggest effort to come to robotics. They always put their optimum effort in every time they come. Logan has a fun, lively personality. He always makes everyone laugh wherever he is. Kyle has a calm, composed personality, and he always relieves everyone of stress just by being around. We are proud of the hard work all three of these members have put in this year, and we hope that they will be rewarded at competitions! Interested in sponsoring?
