Trinity Camps
We hosted 50 students from Trinity Lutheran School based out of Clinton Township and taught them about the building process of robots for FLL and FTC. Our campers ranged from grades K through 8th. We used Spike Primes and M-Bots to train the students from and finished off the week with an FLL and FTC Competition based on a game we created.
MISD Summer Camps
We hosted summer camps with the MISD. We hosted a total of 60 graduating 5th grade students from Macomb County for these camps, one of which was an all-girls camp and focused on supporting women in STEM. IAM Junior, Michael Nazarko says that the summer camps allowed him to help many students with the process of designing models. Additionally, he was able to learn about our other subgroups and deepened his relationship with the rest of our team.
Plan For Future FTC Teams
We are excited to announce the formation of a new FTC team in New Haven, Michigan. I.AM.Robot will cover their expenses and provide support through our students who will mentor them. We believe that this new team will significantly contribute to shaping the kids’ futures in STEM fields!
Orientation Days
Students from International Academy of Macomb and Dakota High School recently had orientation day at their schools! The students spoke to students and parents of incoming freshmen as well as currently enrolled students who were inquiring about what robotics was all about and had interest in joining our team. The students shared insights about our robotics program and encouraged them to attend our recruitment night on September 23, 2025 at our Build and Training Center.
